This is a theatre with a rich history. The building it’s housed in was once a brothel, but after the revolution, the Stanislavsky Theatre moved in. Recently renovated, the new Stanislavsky is a place that celebrates artistic innovation in music, art and contemporary literature, through its events and education programme. The space is easy to navigate and includes a bookshop and a pleasant cafe. The most stylish and bohemian theatre in Moscow today, it is an experiment in rethinking contemporary culture.
