For the last ten years Polish photographer Rafal Milach has photographed across the new east. Over this time he’s co-founded Sputnik Photos, a collective of Central and Eastern European photographers, and published a number of award-winning photo books such as Black Sea of Concrete and The Winners. Interested in the transitional state of the former Eastern Bloc, in Landmarks he goes searching for traces of the borders between Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia that existed for a short period before the countries joined the Schengen Area.
