Russian film critics spoof Nymphomaniac poster

27 February 2014

Russian film critics have put on their best orgasm faces for a parody of posters for Lars von Trier’s sex epic Nymphomaniac. The 11 film critics include notable figures like Viktor Matizen, former president of the Guide of Film Critics; Anton Dolin, the author of several books about Lars von Trier; and critic Andrey Plahov, Honourary President of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI). The posters have been published in Russia just ahead of the release of the second part of Nymphomaniac, a four-hour film about a 50-year-old woman, Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg), a self-confessed sex addict.

The original posters, featuring 14 cast members including Uma Thurman, Shia LaBeouf, Christian Slater, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Willem Dafoe, have inspired several parodies from film critics from Denmark, Poland and Hungary as well as from the Muppets.
