St Petersburg-based designer Mikhail Levchenko has given a range of well-known global brands a Soviet transformation.
He has reimagined such brands as Mercedes, Dior, Samsung and Apple, infusing them with a Soviet touch.
“I’ve drawn a lot of work in the Soviet style, but I never united it all into a single theme. Then I got the idea to do something global—about something everybody knows, but done in a light that’s completely different from what they’re used to. That’s the main idea behind the project: to look at brands that are familiar to everyone, but to present them as if they originated in the USSR, ” Levchenko said in an interview with Meduza.
