Based in St Petersburg, Russian artist Nikita Klimov harnesses both the playful and the poignant to create thought-provoking online illustrations.
Ranging from dark and evocative to whimsical and surreal, each of Klimov’s illustrations is crafted to fit a piece of short fiction by Russia-based American author Benjamin Davis. The stories, which span from the perils of expat life to light-hearted encounters with death, form part of Flash 365 — a collaborative project which has already won the pair online attention and a modest cult following.
