Mika Plutitskaya is a visual artist based in Moscow. Having started her career in arts as a performer, she currently works primarily with painting exploring its connections with concepts of historicisation and mythologisation, as well as incorporating cinematic tropes such as montage into her practice. She is especially interested in deconstructing the childhood and adolescence myths and gender representaions of the Soviet era.
