A new art space supporting the latest New East zines, prints and photo books is opening its doors in Berlin.
Based in Kreuzberg, the Zoopark Studio will host a gallery, publishing office and event space for artists from across Russia and eastern Europe.
The hub is the latest offshoot of the Zoopark Collective, founded by Russian photographers Tatyana Palyga and Alexander Bondar in 2016 to share and self-publish independent photography and zines. The pair have already launched more than a dozen of publications distributed in Russia, Europe and Japan, with photo books appearing at the Vienna Photobook Festival, Polycopies Paris and Miss Read Berlin.
The space will with a launch party on Thursday 7 June, alongside a special a photography installation and photo book exhibition. For more information, visit the studio website here.
