Plans for a new skyscraper that is set to become Moscow’s tallest building have been approved by Russian officials.
At more than 400-metres tall, the yet-to-be-named tower will be built in the capital’s high-rise Moscow City district by Sergey Skuratov Architects. It is slated for completion in 2024.
More than half of the 104-story building will be given over to private apartments, with space for offices, restaurants, shops, and a sport and health centre complete with swimming pool.
The skyscraper will miss out on the title of Europe’s tallest building by a mere 60 metres, after failing to measure up to the 462-metre high Lakhta Centre in Saint Petersburg.
