IKEA’s do-it-yourself take on Scandinavian cool has conquered the world— and Russia is no exception.
But now, not content with filling the homes of cash-strapped millennials, the company has its sights set on Russia’s iconic sleeper trains.
IKEA have put their own spin on cabins in a train carriage travelling between Moscow and St Petersburg, transforming uncomfortable bunks into snug bolt-holes as part of its Sleep Better campaign. Passengers will get the chance to spend a night in this carriage for free by writing to IKEA with their own impassioned pleas for a peaceful snooze. The train will be whisking visitors between Russia’s two biggest cities from 17 February to 6 March.
