Red Brick Hotel (Presnya)

Another red brick establishment, this low-key design hotel is nestled in the heart of Trekhgornaya Manufaktura, the landmark of a once-revolutionary neighbourhood near Barrikadnaya metro station. Nowadays, the area around Red Brick Hotel (Presnya) is populated by hipsters and loft offices, stylish cafeterias, and neon-lit Asian eateries. It also has one of Moscow’s finest skylines: the Gothic towers of a Stalin skyscraper, the iconic White House, and the futuristic Moskva-City skyscrapers. This exquisite hotel in a former mansion is a new addition to Zamoskvorechye and is only a 10-minute walk from the Tretyakov Gallery. Richter was set up by the founders of Brick Design Hotel and Moscow-based media company Mamikhlapinatana, and includes a cafe, a reading room with international titles on art and design, two galleries, and a design hotel. Richter has hosted a number of exclusive parties that saw guests gaping in awe at the stunning ceilings and elaborate room designs. The organic linen bathrobes feature a medieval lion, Richter’s logo, and were a collaboration with Moscow-based streetwear brand Outlaw, while the curtains are made from authentic richelieu linen from the 1930s.
