These mesmerising origami patterns will give you goosebumps

Ekaterina Lukasheva blends creativity and painstaking precision to create origami art that bursts with tesselating shapes and undulating lines.
Her passion for paper began at age 14, when a maths teacher gave her an origami magazine. Inside were spherical paper models called kusudamas, as well as delicate sonobes made without thread or glue. Lukasheva was hooked.
“I was born into a family of scientists, so from the cradle I’ve had the feeling that man should always be creating something new,” she says. ”It’s a natural feeling for me.”
After graduating with a maths degree from Moscow State University, Lukasheva moved to California, where she now showcases her creations for thousands of fans on Instagram.
She has also published several books, including her most recent: Floral Origami: From Beginner to Advanced: 30 Delicious Origami Flowers and Balls for Home Decoration.
