Bulgaria-born, London-based designer Kiko Kostadinov has released his latest collab with Japanese footwear brand ASICS.
Named the GEL Korika, the new collection has been shot by German photography powerhouse Juergen Teller — but the 55-year-old isn’t just appearing behind the camera.
The creative icon has also been modelling the shoes himself, albeit in a style that’s more awkward-ironic than Next Top Model. In the campaign you can clock Teller proudly displaying the shoes in the middle of a field, wearing them while weighing himself, chest-bared in a bathroom, or admiring them by an ancient Roman fountain.
The menswear collection trainer comes in black and grey, while the womenswear hits the brighter end of the spectrum in bright blue, red, peach, pink, and green.
A pop-up shop in Berlin will host an early launch of the collection on 8 November, ahead of the global launch on 16 November.
