Experimental arts festival Inversia is setting Murmansk’s dark winter days alight

13 January 2020

Experimental audiovisual festival Inversia will be lighting up the cold Arctic days in the Russian city of Murmansk between 6-8 February 2020.

Already at its fourth edition, Inversia will feature artists from the UK, Norway, Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, as well as Russian creators. The music will range from darkwave and horror electronics to post-punk and post-metal, alongside video art and light performances united by this year’s theme, “Digital Traces”.

Organised by the local creative group Fridaymilk, Inversia will also join forces with Dutch festival Sonic Acts in commissioning guest-artists to create new work exploring the local sound and urbanscape of the Arctic city.
