A new film is showcasing the stunning interior beauty of St Petersburg’s Hermitage museum, with hundreds of priceless paintings wrapped among a single, five hour shot.
Russian director Axinya Gog filmed 45 galleries and 588 art works as part of the stunt, which was commissioned by tech firm Apple. Her 319-minute clip also features ballet dancers moving to classical music amongst the masterpieces.
One of the world’s biggest museums, the Hermitage contains over three million works of art from around the world, including paintings by masters such as Van Dyck, Rubens, Rembrandt, and Leonardo da Vinci.
