1 May 2020

Architecture magazines ArchDaily and Strelka Mag have launched a new project to spotlight emerging design talent from Eastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.

The new initiative, Projects, will feature architectural designs from young creatives based on their versatility, cost-efficiency, and role in promoting sustainable urban development. The platform welcomes submissions from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

Selected submissions will be published in the Russian and English versions of Strelka Mag and on ArchDaily. All of the published projects will also automatically enter the competition for the ArchDaily & Strelka Award 2021.

Shortlisted projects of the 2019 edition of the award are already featured online as part of the new drive, and include Garage Screen Cinema in Gorky Park, an open summer cinema in Moscow, and Sevkabel Port, a repurposed factory on St Petersburg’s Baltic Sea shore.
