Moscow-based electronic duo Simple Symmetry have launched their debut album with a spiritual 11-track ode to 60s psychedelica.

Sorry! We Did Something Wrong sees the pair — comprising brothers Sasha and Sergey Lipsky — pivot across genres, from the experimental dance beats of “Oh Lord” to the baroque pop vibe of “Sim Sim Sim” — all the while embracing a medley of ambient sounds.

Following a string of singles and EPs released in Russia and worldwide, Sorry! We Did Something Wrong will be the band’s first album since they made their appearance in Moscow’s underground music scene in 2013. According to the pair, it is an album that moves away from the “electrifying dance music” they are known for, “in favour of a universal pop sound,” and “feels like the Beach Boys at their most laid back and sun-kissed.”
