Festival of Food, the annual celebration of culinary excellence and experimentation, will be held tomorrow in Moscow’s Gorky Park. The event, run for the third time by magazine Afisha Food, will feature a restaurant zone, cooking masterclasses, lectures, a farmers market and stalls showcasing cuisine from countries around the world, including Serbia, Cyprus and Morocco.
This year the theme of the festival is street food. Alexei Zimin, editor-in-chief of Afisha Food, said: “The most intriguing development of the past year has been the boom in street food. Food has turned from being That Which Shall Not Be Named into a fashionable pastime in which the culinary aspect is more important than the business side.”
