The Mixtape 18: Alexandra Zakharenko

Mixtape 18 comes from Alexandra Zakharenko, a DJ and visual artist based between Moscow and Berlin. A former drummer, she regularly plays at parties and has a distinguished taste for dark techno music. “The main theme of my mixtapes is a trip, a musical journey through sounds when you follow the flow but don’t know where will it lead,” says Zakharenko. “It’s better to listen it from the beginning to the end to get a full impression. The mixtape was inspired by transitional and transcendental states of mind and the weather in Russia. Music helps you to get away from these depressive grey cold waves.
