Best of Russia photography exhibition now on show

A photography exhibition covering the people, places and events in Russia in 2012 has now opened at the Winzavod Centre for Contemporary Art. The competition, Best of Russia, which is open to both amateurs and professionals, attracted around 33,000 entries, although only the best 276 are on display. This year’s exhibition features photos covering several major events in 2012 including the opposition protests, floods in Krymsk and the presidential election. Winzavod established Best of Russia in 2008 and as in previous years, the exhibition will travel across Russia over the coming 12 months.
