Meteorite explodes in Chelyabinsk

A meteorite shower rained down on the Ural town of Chelyabinsk on early Friday leaving hundreds of people injured and damage to buildings. The residents of Chelyabinsk, which is 1,500km east of Moscow, watched as the meteorite streaked across the sky before exploding. Both the Chalyabinsk Puppet Theatre and Drama Theatre have cancelled shows this evening.
