A Moscow Metro train named dubbed the “Striped Express” has been decorated with photos of Siberian tigers and Amur leopards, in an attempt to raise awareness of the plight of these endangered species.
Images of the interior of the train, which is running on the Lublin-Dmitrov line, were released yesterday by the Moscow Department for Transport.
According to a representative of the press service for the Moscow Metro, the launch of the train forms part of the government’s programme for the conservation of rare species in Russia.
In addition, Metro users will be accompanied in the carriage by an actor dressed in a tiger costume.
