Three cakes have been chosen for the final round of the “Moscow Cake” competition, which seeks to find a cake to represent the Russian capital and bear its name.
The three finalists were chosen by a public vote from a selection of 80 recipes, which took place both on the internet and offline.
The top three cakes are: walnut cake with condensed milk, chocolate and cranberry biscuit cake, and pistachio and cherry mousse cake.
The winner will be announced tomorrow (9 October), after selection by a jury made up of restaurateurs, confectioners, chefs and people who often vote as part of “Active Citizen”, an initiative that aims to allow Muscovites to take part in governing their city.
