SIGNAL light festival to open in Prague this week

12 October 2015

The SIGNAL light festival opens in Prague on Thursday evening, lighting up the Czech capital with an array of light-based art installations and video displays.

The four-day event will see over 20 installations by both Czech and international artists presented along a one-way route in the centre of the city.

One of the highlights of the festival is expected to be Nimbes, a 360 degree audiovisual show projected on the interior of a five-storey inflatable dome by French artist Joanie Lemercier.

This will be the third edition of the festival, which has become the most visited cultural event in the Czech Republic, with up to 500,000 visitors expected this year.

The SIGNAL festival will run from 7pm – 12pm on 15 – 18 October. Entrance is free but tickets for Nimbes should be booked in advance.
