Designblok, the largest festival of contemporary design and fashion in Central Europe, opens today in Prague.
Now in its 17th year, the festival will see both local and international designers exhibiting their work, and an array of accompanying cultural events taking place in the Czech capital. Exhibitors this year include Belgian designer Maarten de Ceulaer and Italian design duo Formafantasma.
Whereas in previous years Designblok has taken place in various locations across Prague, the 2015 festival will mostly be based at the Industrial Palace, the main building at the Výstaviště exhibition ground.
The “Art House” section of the festival will take place on 27 October at the Lapidarium and Spirala Theatre, which will host projects on the border between art and design.
Designblok will run from 22 – 27 October. Ticket information and a full programme of events can be found online.
