London’s Bertha DocHouse will host a masterclass with Oscar-winning Polish-British filmmaker Paweł Pawlikowski on Wednesday 3 February.

In this masterclass, Pawlikowski will be in conversation with Marc Isaacs, who worked as his assistant on Twockers (1998) and Last Resort (2000). They will focus on Pawlikowski’s early documentary films and their influence on his later fiction films and give a unique insight into his working methods.

The masterclass will be presented in association with Royal Holloway University, and will take place at the Bertha DocHouse screen at the Curzon Bloomsbury cinema in central London.

Paweł Pawlikowski is an award-winning Polish-British filmmaker. He is best known for his 2013 film Ida, which won the 2015 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
