London’s Dash Arts will host a debate on sex in the Soviet era on Wednesday 17 February.

Inspired by a famous comment in 1986 by a Russian guest on a US television show that there is “no sex in the Soviet Union”, the event will see Dash Artistic Director Tim Supple in conversation with author Peter Pomerantsev and theatre director Irina Brown on how sex was viewed in the Soviet Union and the role it played and continues to play in society.

The evening will also feature a screening from film website Obskura, as well as music from DJ Mourrka.

The event will take place at Rich Mix in Shoreditch at 7.30pm on Wednesday 17 February. Entry is free but those wishing to attend are asked to email [email protected] to reserve their place.
