The Calvert Journal belongs to the latter, and was inspired by a personal heartache. “I don’t want to seem too sentimental or romantic but I would like this mix to be heard by a girl I’ve been in love with for a long time and with whom for some reason we can’t find a way to be together anymore,” Art Crime says. “The mixtape is compiled from the music we would usually listen to on repeat when we were together. These are the tracks I listen to on my own to calm down and get inspired. This is something I’m missing at all these noisy parties, something more real.”
