Applications have opened for the 11th International Summer School of Photography (ISSP) in Latvia.
The summer school will take place from 6 — 14 August in Kuldīga, in the countryside of western Latvia. Participants will take part in six masterclasses led by respected tutors, as well as portfolio reviews and an evening programme of presentations and talks with acclaimed international artists, including Anouk Kruithof, Paolo Woods and Alejandro Chaskielberg.
Notable for its focus on close interaction between participants and tutors, as well as practice-based learning, ISSP equips participants to create an individual project under the guidance of their tutor and concludes with a group exhibition.
ISSP invites applications from photography and art students, emerging photographers and artists working with photography who wish to come together with colleagues from around the world and benefit from a concentrated learning experience. 72 participants (12 in each masterclass) will be selected on the basis of a competitive applications process. The call will remain open until May 8.
More information can be found in the ISSP website.
