Zagreb hosts design week

Zagreb Design Week (Tjedan dizajna Zagreb) opened yesterday, bringing the best of local design and a host of international designers to the Croatian capital.

Now in its third year, Zagreb Design Week is Croatia’s biggest event dedicated to design.

The week aims to promote the role of design in society through a range of exhibitions, lectures, panels and workshops. These will largely focus on the most prominent design fields in Croatia: furniture, fashion, graphic and communication design. In addition, the event offers the opportunity for designers to connect with potential investors.

As well as local designers, this edition of Zagreb Design Week will see a Nordic design exhibition held in association with Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Zagreb Design Week will take place at the Lauba exhibition space until 8 May.
