Warsaw-based multidisciplinary studio Thisispaper chose a Soviet-era dental clinic as the home for their first flagship store.
Founders Zuzanna Gasior and Aleksandr Zacharow kept some of the clinic’s existing features such as the windows, but covered the original floor in transparent resin to give it a “raw feeling”. The interior is in keeping with the minimal aesthetic of the brand, with birch and plywood furniture, white counters and plenty of greenery. Gasior and Zacharow also collaborated with Polish furniture company Tylko to produce the shelving unit showcasing Thisispaper products including bags, books and Japanese tea.
“We value timeless over trendy, few over many and plain over fancy,” the designers describe their store.
Thisispaper store is located nextdoor to the duo’s studio on Odolańska street in Warsaw.
