British Council launches SWAP: UK/Ukraine Artist Residence Programme

The British Council Ukraine has launched SWAP, its new artistic residence programme connecting artists from Ukraine and the UK.

Having worked with the Liverpool Biennial to run residencies for Ukraine-based artists during March-April 2016, for this second phase of their residence programme the British Council is seeking six UK artists to spend up to a month at one of the following artistic residencies:

Biruchiy peninsula (Sea of Azov): Biruchiy Contemporary Art Project (September 2016)

Kharkiv: NonStopMedia Festival – a residence programme by Kharkiv’s Municipal Art Gallery as part of their biennial festival (10 August – 10 September 2016)

Kharkiv: YermilovCentre (August 2016)

Kyiv: The Muzychi Expanded History Project – a residence programme by Alevtina Kakhidze (September 2016),

Kyiv: 33 Soshenko Art Studios (September 2016)

(West Ukraine/Carpathians): Sorry, no rooms available – a residence programme by Petro Ryaska (September 2016)
