Trailer: Kazakh director Timur Bekmambetov’s Ben-Hur remake

Paramount Pictures Studio has released the trailer for Kazakh director Timur Bekmambetov’s remake of Ben-Hur.

The trailer includes not only footage from the film, but also interviews with the cast and a glimpse behind the scenes at the filmmaking process. The cast includes British actor Jack Huston, as well as Hollywood legend Morgan Freeman and Iranian-born British American actress Nazanin Boniadi.

Ben-Hur is based on the 1880 novel Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ by Lew Wallace, centering on Jewish prince Judah Ben-Hur, who is falsely accused of an assassination attempt by his childhood friend and adoptive brother. The film follows Judah as he is is forced into slavery and seeks revenge, but eventually finds redemption instead.
