Romanian daily newspaper Gândul has launched “Romanians adopt Remainians”, an initiative by which Romanians can reach out to Brits who voted “Remain” in the recent referendum on the country’s membership of the EU.
Romanians can help British friends apply for a Romanian ID and remain within the EU, or they can adopt a stranger. British citizens can apply to be adopted.
The project comes from the same paper that ran the “Why don’t you come over?” campaign, a humorous response to the hatred of British extremists against Romanians.
If you’re in need of adoption or want to help a despairing Brit, you can find more information here.
