In a week when talk has focused on the UK’s intended divorce from Europe, plans have been revealed for Polish national broadcaster TVP to work more closely with the BBC.

TVP has signed an agreement with BBC Worldwide that provides for increased cooperation between the two companies, as well as the co-production of TV series and films and the possibility for TVP to adapt BBC TV shows.

“BBC Worldwide is a serious and reliable partner for TVP. Thanks to this agreement, beyond the cooperation in producing programming and distribution, we have expanded the field of mutual cooperation in the fields of training, consulting know-how and audience research,” said TVP’s CEO Jacek Kurski.
