Provisional arrangement: Czech-born artist Martin Kollar in London photo book launch

London’s MACK publishing house will launch Provisional Arrangement, a new photo book by Czech-born artist Martin Kollar, at Whitechapel Gallery this Thursday.

Published by Fuel, Provisional Arrangement explores the post-Soviet experience of those brought up with the promise of an eternal Soviet future, highlighting a contemporary life that is uncertain and characterised by precarity.

“People of my generation fight against the void left behind the abandoned dogmas. We find ourselves in a complex world without a sense of permanence and certainty,” says Kollar.

The book launch for Provisional Arrangement will take place at Whitechapel Gallery Bookshop on Thursday 6 October at 6.30pm.
