Madrid-based multidisciplinary artist Okuda San Miguel gave a Kiev metro train a vibrant makeover, creating possibly the most colourful train carriages you’ve ever seen.
The project, which sees shapes, symbols and illustrations that play on recognisable forms grace the sides of the train, was presented in honour of Ukraine’s independence day in August. It forms part of a public project managed by ArtUnitedUs, an international initiative that uses creative methods to raise public awareness of the problem of war.
Okuda San Miguel is known for his use of multicoloured geometric patterns and organic shapes, human figures and symbols. He is perhaps most famous for his large murals.
