Two New East festivals — Croatia’s INmusic and Poland’s Open’er — have been named among the world’s most popular music festivals by British rock magazine NME.
INmusic Festival, which has been held since 2006, usually takes place at Lake Jarun in the Croatian capital, Zagreb. INmusic is Croatia’s biggest international open-air festival and features a number of genre-specific stages, gaining a reputation for hosting renowned indie rock, heavy metal and electronica artists.
Taking place annually since 2002, the Open’er Festival is held in the city of Gdynia, set on Poland’s northern coast. The lineup this year included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pharrell Williams, Sigur Rós and Foals.
