Plans announced for pan-Armenian orchestra

Armenian Culture Minister Armen Amiryan has briefed the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on his plans to create a pan-Armenian symphony orchestra.

The orchestra will bring together musically talented members of the Armenian diaspora from around the world. The first concert is planned for 24 April 2017 in the Armenian capital, Yerevan, after which point it is expected that the group will play in cities around the world with a large Armenian community.
