Tbilisi and Baku tipped for tourist success

The Georgian capital, Tbilisi, and Azerbaijan’s capital city, Baku, have been listed among the top ten destinations on the rise by travel site TripAdvisor.

TripAdvisor’s report on the rising stars of travel highlighted Baku’s old city along with its numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and the Maiden Tower. In addition, the list drew attention to the city’s vibrant cultural scene and its growing importance as a global business hub.

Those enticed by Tbilisi were encouraged to explore the winding streets of the Old Town, cross the Bridge of Peace and check out the National Botanical Garden of Georgia.

Other destinations to make the cut included Eilat in Israel and Canada’s Whistler. Take a look at the full list here.
