Experimental Estonian singer-songwriter Maria Minerva may be making a name for herself in Los Angeles, but her new release is a nod to her roots.
The 28-year-old musician’s Estonian-language cover of Heldur Karmo’s Kesköö (Midnight) both channels the unique electro-pop sound for which she has become known and pays homage to a beloved Estonian poet and lyricist.
Now based in LA, Maria Minerva is releasing music on the independent record label Not Not Fun and its dance-oriented sub-label 100% Silk.
