Enjoy these Yugoslav covers to relive some classic tunes with a twist

Slavorum, an online forum dedicated to everything Slavic, has had us humming along to some old favourites. You’re probably familiar with iconic hits such as California Dreamin’ and Ain’t No Sunshine — now hear Yugoslavia’s take on the tunes.

These 12 tracks formed part of a huge phenomenon that saw Yugoslav labels, including major record label Jugoton (now known as Croatia Records), buy the rights to reproduce US hits translated into local languages.
