Russian rapper Timati’s Black Star brand plans to create its own football club and agency in Moscow.
“One of our goals for the next 3 — 5 years is to create a football club. Whether it will be called Black Star, “Moscow” or “Strogino”, we have not yet decided,” Black Star co-founder Pavel Kuryanov told news agency TASS, explaining the company’s “desire to give the market a western approach to this business”.
Timati launched Black Star in 2006 as a music label, starting a clothing range in 2010 and an internet radio station in 2015. Last year Black Star launched an eponymous burger restaurant, as well as a barbershop and tattoo parlour, while in December 2016 the brand announced the imminent opening of a boutique hotel.
