Often referred to as “fashion’s biggest night out”, the Met Gala is known for the often outlandish outfits that grace its red carpet. But did you know that Russian interactive media artists Sila Sveta were behind the central installation at this year’s event?
Sila Sveta’s installation for the Met Gala served as a kind of photobooth, where Canadian photographer Gordon von Steiner made a series of video portraits of guests exclusively for Vogue US.
The Russian interactive media, production and conceptual design company gained US fame last year, when they won over the audience and judges at the America’s Got Talent auditions with a multimedia dance performance.
