Go East Launch Party tomorrow at Calvert 22 Space

Come to the Go East launch party this Thursday 10 August from 7 — 10pm at Calvert 22 Space in Shoreditch, London.

The event will be celebrating The Calvert Journal’s Go East project, which is also due to launch on 10 August. The project is a special travel report showcasing the unique work of New East photographers who have travelled to East Asia.

At the party expect to be amazed by a sneak preview of the project’s photo stories, video work from Japan by featured artist Nat Urazmetova, and curated playlists by Kenichi Iwasa of XAVIERS and artist Ekaterina Bazhenova-Yamasaki. But that’s not all: as well as a rich spread of cultural sustenance, there will also be Mio sparkling sake and a bamboo slide built by Mill & Jones from which you can catch (and eat) Japanese nagashi-sōmen (flowing noodles).
