It’s been a tough few months for Hollywood’s rich and powerful. When US movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual assault in October 2017, it opened the gates to an avalanche of harassment allegations against figures of the entertainment industry.
Hundreds of women and men have come forward to name and shame other alleged abusers, with politicians and public figures among the accused. With more allegations emerging daily, Russian news outlet Lenta.ru has decided to start catering to those affected most by this issue with a new game: “Hollywood Syndrome.”
The online Harvey Weinstein game challenges players to pick out actresses, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Rose McGowan, that Weinstein has harassed from a virtual line-up.
“More than 50 women have spoken out about Weinstein’s alleged harassment,” Lenta.ru writes. “Most of the victims refused to work with him after the incidents, but not all: several actresses went on to star in the films he produced, or that were distributed by Miramax and The Weinstein Company. Lenta.ru is challenging readers to find these women in our game.”
If you have the stomach to take on the game, you can find it on the Lenta.ru wesbite here. If you have a conscience, then probably don’t bother.
