Geometry and Colour: capturing unseen beauty in the vibrant streets of Wrocław

17 January 2018

Polish photographer Jolanta Mazur has long been drawn to the power of urban spaces. Driven by her love for minimalism, she spent a year capturing the geometric beauty of two very different cities: Wrocław in Poland and the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.

The self-taught photographer, who now lives in Kuala Lumpur, says she prizes candid shots taken from a city’s streets and rooftops.

“The world is inhabited by ordinary people — pedestrians, construction workers, sporting hobbyists — all of whom seem oblivious to the graphic qualities of the space around them, yet are (unwittingly) working as an integral part of it,” Mazur wrote in LensCulture magazine.
