Celebrate Being LGBTQ with a night of queer culture and The Calvert Journal

Celebrate the launch of The Calvert Journal’s major new project, Being LGBTQ, with a special night of queer culture and performance in London’s east end on 1 February.

Being LGBTQ is a special series exploring and celebrating LGBTQ culture, politics and life in the New East throughout spring 2018.

To mark the launch, The Calvert Journal will be hosting a special performance by Poland’s most famous drag queen, Kim Lee, at The Queen Adelaide pub in Hackney.

There’ll also be plenty of music videos from Russia’s gay 90s and a reading of queer feminist sci-fi short stories from Central Asia.

Entry’s free, with music and dancing from 8:00 pm — 3:00 am.
