We’re delighted to be partnering with the BFI for this discussion that will examine the acclaimed dramas of Andrey Zvyagintsev.
The panel is part of the BFI’s Close Up strand this February focused on the Russian filmmaker Andrey Zvyagintsev who has crafted one of the most masterful and exquisite bodies of work in contemporary cinema.
Join our expert speakers who will consider the ethical, psychological and spiritual aspects of his emotionally complex work, his aesthetics, his artistic influences (including Andrei Tarkovsky and Ingmar Bergman), his controversial reputation in Russia, and, more broadly, the climate for filmmakers and other artists in Russia today.
Tickets will go on sale on 16 January 2018, 11:30am. To find out more about the full programme of events and screenings, please click here.
