Where?

Tbilisi, Georgia

What?

A gem in the heart of Tbilisi, Stamba Hotel is an industrial-chic celebration of the city’s ever-evolving identity. What was once Georgia’s most important printing house now houses a design hotel, a high-end pink cocktail bar, and Tbilisi’s first urban vertical farm. Stamba’s eclectic lobby feels like a fusion between a museum, a factory, and a greenhouse. With plants hanging over floor-to ceiling mahogany bookshelves, the atrium is a tropical escape next door to Rustaveli Avenue’s concrete jungle. If luxury with a touch of Georgian brutalism is your interior design preference, taking a bath in a free-standing Victorian bathtub while sipping a glass of Sarajishvili cognac in an exposed red-brick room is exactly what you need. A hub for foreign and local creatives, Stamba is an ode to an historical building, an overarching sensorial experience through the vintage and the modern.

What not to miss in during your stay:

— Head down to the Pink Bar to try the exclusive Stamba Sour, a Pisco Sour with a touch of tkhemali, Georgian plum sauce.

— Visit the new Tbilisi Photo and Multimedia Museum, an all-female-run gallery space in Stamba exhibiting photography from local, regional, and international artists.

— Take a break from the buzz of Tbilisi and head to Rooms Hotels Kazbegi, a stylish alpine hotel with stunning views over the Kazbegi mountain range. Depending on the season, the drive can take between three and five hours. It’s worth the effort, though.
