Anna Afonina (b. 1989, Tolyatti) is a visual artist working with digital and graphic media. In her practice, she often works with the border between an individual and a collective experience. Afonina’s projects explore collective memory, its mechanisms and digital visual manifestations. Her visionary aesthetic synthesises action with contemplation, the digital with the real, the sensory with the supersensory. She is part of art groups Vorozheya and Mayday/Mayday/Mayday.
